A luxurious sanctuary in the heart of the Sandy Bay precinct

Russell House offers contemporary accommodation within easy walking distance to Hobart’s hotspots

Welcome to Russell House

Russell House can accommodate up to seven people in four stylish bedrooms across one level, with every modern comfort provided. Separate living areas mean guests can mingle and chat, or seek solitude and space. At the front of the house, a sumptuous lounge with modular suite is the perfect place to relax and admire the work of renowned Tasmanian artist Roger Murphy, or simply unwind with friends. Up the hall, an informal dining/living space forms the hub of the home, opening out to the sunny deck with views of blue skies and yachts in the distance.

Morning sun floods the kitchen and informal living area through floor-to-ceiling windows that look out to the outdoor deck and beyond, taking in views of the Wrest Point Casino and masts of yachts at nearby Yacht Clubs. Soak it all up while kicking back on the outdoor seating or dining setting, with your dinner prepared on the Weber BBQ. That is… if you decide to eat in.

Some of Hobart’s finest restaurants are only a minutes walk away on Sandy Bay Road, including the widely renowned Me Wah and locally-loved Don Camillo, to name just a couple. Less than a kilometre away is yet another restaurant and cafe strip on Hampden Road in Battery Point, while Salamanca and the Hobart Waterfront is a stone’s throw from there. Wrest Point Casino is even closer in the other direction.

Dotted with Tasmanian water colours throughout, along with central-ducted heating/cooling, complimentary WIFI, library for holiday reading, and Bose Wave SoundTouch, we aim to provide you with an experience of complete comfort and leave you wanting for nothing.

The master suite is a private retreat, with king bed, deluxe linen and ensuite, while a further three bedrooms include another king room, a single room, and a twin room. You won’t want to leave the voguish central bathroom with full bath, walk-in shower with rainfall showerhead, under floor heating, luxury toiletries, hair dryer and GHD straightener. A nearby powder room will alleviate any queues this may cause.

The fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need to cater for the crew, the corner pantry is stocked with essentials. There is also dining setting, cutlery and crockery, wine glasses and champagne glasses to adequately cater for 8 guests. With Coles supermarket next door and a German Bakery and bottle shop just up the road, what more do you need?
